The Ninth Young Scholars and Scientists Festival has been held with the participation of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, and a group of distinguished academics, researchers, and national scientific elites.
The IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, has issued a message congratulating the arrival of Yalda Night, the longest night of the year, and describing this ancient occasion as an opportunity to honour affection, solidarity, and hope on the path of science and knowledge.
Three distinguished faculty members of the IASBS Department of Physics have been recognised as national scientific elites at the Tenth National Scientific Elites Event and have received formal recognition for their achievements.
At the Thirty-Fourth Research and Technology Festival of the University of Tehran and the Thirtieth University Book of the Year Festival, the IASBS Professor of Physics, Dr Saifollah Rasouli, has been selected as the winner of the Martyr Alimohammadi National Prize in Physics and has been honoured for his achievements.
At the Twenty-Sixth National Festival Honouring Outstanding Researchers, Technologists, and Innovators, the IASBS Faculty Member, Dr Hossein Moulavi, has been selected as a national outstanding researcher and formally recognised for his achievements.
The Tenth Regional Conference on Climate Change and Global Warming is to be held on 10 and 11 February 2026 by the Climate Change and Global Warming Research Centre of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS).

According to the University Public Relations Office, a ceremony marking Accountants’ Day has taken place at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) with the participation of The IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, the IASBS Vice President, Prof Rashid Zaare-Nahandi, the Director of Finance, Dr Alireza Heydari, and a group of colleagues from the finance office.
This university has, in addition to its many attributes, been prominent in research, widespread international relations, having beautiful surroundings, respecting people, and creating opportunities for new ideas. IASBS has already taken long steps in this regard.
